So last Tuesday, when a package arrived for me, I was THRILLED.
Now it wasn't a surprise, but it was a GIFT!
YAY!
And I couldn't wait to use the collection so I could tell YOU all about it!
I chose these items from the selections given because I wanted to contribute to my Valentine's Day events with hubby to give him a little surprise as well {except he saw the box when it arrived and was TOO curious for me to keep it a surprise until Valentine's Day--oh well!}.
We started our sweetheart day in the early afternoon so we could spend more hours together.
Hubby's idea. *swoon*
We took the fun to Ocean City {about 30 minutes away}, so, of course, the trip wouldn't be complete to Arno without a little venti latte for the road. As for me, I am still LOVING my lime water}.
We actually WANTED to be spontaneous and didn't make reservations anywhere. So we drove around for a bit, and since grace & favor seemed to be on our side, we got a table at the first restaurant we walked into. It was beautiful, on the water, live music. PERFECT!
We, then, went to the movies and watched *blush* Justin Bieber's movie Never Say Never. We chalk it up to the years of being children & youth pastors. WE LOVE TO SEE KIDS/YOUTH/PEOPLE WALK IN THEIR DREAMS/TALENTS/CALLINGS. It EXCITES us!! It was really an inspirational movie to encourage people to never give up on their dreams.
And then we went home to savor our NEW GIFTS!
Yay!
The first thing that I loved about the collection is the actual design itself. The black, white, & red color scheme is so classy. I also love the contrast of the lines on the mugs and journal with the paisley pattern on the coupon book and gift bag.
Arno made us hot chocolate in our sweet mugs, painted red inside and detailed with a heart as you tip the warm liquid to your face as well as delicately displayed on the inside rim, "I found the one my heart loves. Song of Solomon 3:4 NIV"
We browsed through the coupon book and decided to let the other choose their coupon of choice for the day. My choice: a massage. His choice: {that's easy} a kiss {or two} hehehee.
We "planned" to write in the journal, set up with one side for HIM and one side for HER, but since I am a "words" girl, hubby did his rough draft on his computer {isn't he cute?} and hasn't transferred it yet. And, I, well...blogger, aspiring writer that I am.....have no excuse...! But I LOVE that idea, and we plan to utilize that for the years to come(AND still for this "past" V-day)to memorialize our heart song for each other.
We had a LOVE-ly night! I guess I can't give this collection ALL the credit, but it did seem to create an environment that gave us time to catch up, to connect, and to chat about our lives and our future.
I am looking forward to more evenings and connections JUST LIKE THIS!
Thank you, Dayspring!

no, four things that I don’t understand:
19 how an eagle glides through the sky,
how a snake slithers on a rock,
how a ship navigates the ocean,
how a man loves a woman.

Hi Lindsey, You blog is amazing and really loved all the photos. The collection you got is really cute. Love seeing how much you guys love each other. Nadia - (Lara's Sister) :-)
Looks like a fun Valentine's Day! On VDay we went to our son's basketball game. BUT we did have a romantic kid free date the Sat. before. Indian food and a movie...it was perfect!
I just went to a Dayspring Focus Group yesterday where 7 of us girls got paid to give our opinion on a new product coming out. It was fun! And they mentioned the incourage website.

Great giveaway! Me and the hubster took advantage of our church's babysitting service the Saturday before valentines and went to dinner then to the book store. That's our favorite spot. Thankfully we went before valentines because this week he has been nursing us back to health from the stomach bug!

Love your blog Lindsey!
Rodney and I went out on date night, just us! Dinner and a movie, lots of great conversation and chocolate :)
Our family had dinner together at home and we had done some decorating and a family "tree" valentine with snapshots of family around the country.
It sounds like you guys had a great day!! T had to work, and I had to stay home with a sick little one, but he gave me some beautiful roses and some chocolate (which is a requirement for Valentine's Day, if you ask me). I gave him a giant chocolate pb heart and a funny card. :) Great Giveaway!
the whole day was special for Vday... I decorated, we had heartshaped muffins for breakfast... love notes all around! Then in the evening my hubby lit a fire in the basement (first time since we moved) we enjoyed it as a family, and then as a couple after the kids went to bed!!

Hubs & I had a pretty rough week for Valentine's Day, so we didn't do much this year, other than snuggle on the sofa & watch Food Network! Although he did just treat me to a post-VDay manicure ;)
Love this sweet set! My fiancÃĐ and I are getting married in October, so I'd have to save it until then...I'd love to win!
We didn't do anything much. Watched a movie, he gave me a sweet card & Starbucks ice cream; it was great!

Man lindsey:( I just missed the contest by 3 hours and 21 min:(... so stinkin sad.
But ill tell you what me and addie did anyway. He suprised me with reservations to a place i've never been, Suicide Bridge. So i loved that he suprised me and planned ahead.. and i love going places ive never been. We had the best seat in the joint. It was our first valentines day together and it was so sweet:)
This was the very first Valentines day my husband and I have celebrated together. After meeting each other in 2007, job transfers and long distance has prevented us from celebrating together.
We were married just 3 months ago and wanted to do something special. A local garden had a outdoor movie for valentines night. I have an old wicker picnic basket I filled with some of our favorite things including homemade chocolate & Orange Truffles. After eating we snuggled close under a blanket and enjoyed a movie under the stars. Perfect evening :)
I came to your blog to become a follower and then I saw your fun giveaway contest- perfect! I am a new follower as of today!
My sweet husband actually made me dinner this Valentines Day! This is a HUGE deal since he does not cook (in our nine years together he only made me dinner one other time and that was a frozen one ;) He actually searched for recipes and stressed over it for almost two weeks since we celebrated late (he was sick on V-day.) He did a great job, but I loved it even more because it was so thoughtful and creative. He's a good man!
Ok... so you're inspiring me to take more pictures of the things I do day to day! :)
On Valentines Day, Aj took care of Macy in the morning so that I could sleep... until NOON! :) Then, he cleaned the bathrooms for me. I love cleaning everything except the bathrooms, so this was actually HUGE for me! Then, he made me dinner and we watched a movie together at home. Being a mommy wipes me out, and he knew I just couldn't get myself together to go out. It was a LOVELY day! :)
Love the hats you are both wearing!! Very cute !!
It looks like you had a fabulous time together with each other and your gifts! Thanks for linking up to NOBH!
Thanks so everyone for entering the contest! Julie won via random.org, but I hope to be doing more giveaways in the near future and I will be sure to let you guys know. I REALLY enjoyed reading everyone's V-day stories. It is cool to know HOW different people are sharing their love.

Hi there! I already follow you in all areas. But really, I don't care to win. I know, that sounds funny but I've been married to Mr. Wonderful Hubby for 27.5 yrs now and I seriously have everything I want :) I'd just give it away soooooo I am just going to pray that the person who needs it most wins. Loved your vacation. It's been years since I've been to Ocean City. This brought back good memories - we had 3 of our 4 kids along at the time and couldn't get them out of the water. It was a blast. Thanks for sharing :)
