GO.
My world has always been filled with color
GO.
My world has always been filled with color
From the golden sunsets over Hispaniola
To the white crest waves of my Eastern US home
From the amber waves of grain in my midwestern college days
To the Rainbow Nation that I married into
I love color.
Red and yellow, black and white
They are precious in this sight.
Seeing the world in the many hues is the advantage of growing up with the title "missionary kid"
But the colors of life are vaster, wider, deeper, even now than my little girl eyes ever knew
The deep dark black and blue waters of pain and sorrow
The radiant yellow and orange sunrises of new love awakening
The deep, warm, & mysterious greens of the inner psyche of the ones around me.
Pause.
Deep Breath.
Sigh.
I'm glad for the God of the multi-colored-dimensional world.
STOP.
My mind is in many deep waters today....all part of the color of being ME...I suppose. {smile}

I love this! and I LOVE your blog header!
What a poignant and beautiful way to express the colors of your world. There is truly a treasure trove of multicolored jewels packed in memories - thanks for sharing yours :)
Now you've got me singing with you : ...Jesus loves the little children of the world.... :-)
You've got some fantastic pics to go along with your post. I liked how you showed the deepness of colour, to your adult eyes.
LOVE your post! Just beautiful.

Me too... I think color speaks to us more about Him than words. Especially since He shines through the blacks and grays with vibrant rainbow beauty. Wonderful post.
Lindsey, such a lovely post, I love all the colors of you- and having met you in person, I have seen how radiant you are with these colors...
"I'm glad for the God of the multi-colored-dimensional world.
"Oh yes, me to!! ;)
Love your post. Glad you added the "deep dark black and blue waters of pain and sorrow. Those really add to AND help us appreciate the vibrancy and hue of life don't they!
Blessings
Love all the colors of your life... I've been from Boston, to Niagara Falls, to Ohio... to Florida ... Not very far! :) but still a little color in there, too!
Fabulous imagery! I love the way you've shown me the colors you see with your heart as well as those you see with your eyes. :)
beautiful, as always!
I love this! Beautiful! I'd love to see all the colors that radiate in different parts of the world. My experiences pretty much cover the east coast of the US and Bermuda (where I able to see those famous pink sands). But thanks for showing me color though your eyes.
"I'm glad for the God of the multi-colored-dimensional world." Me, too, Lindsey. Me, too.
Thank you...I am grateful for the colors he has placed in my heart.
Thank you, Emily! I am grateful!
Hahahahaa...let's sing together!
Thanks...God has been teaching me so much the older I get.
Thank you so much!
I think you are right...pondering the reason that He choose the colors for grass or sky or sunsets...it's fascinating
Thanks, girl! I AM kind of partial to LOTS of color!
yes they do, Robin...though not ones I would have chosen in the artwork of my life...they do indeed add a richness that is hard to describe with other colors.
I love all that color...each place represents so much diversity! Lovely!
Thank you, Jenn. I appreciate you coming by!
{HUGS}
Oh..lovely...do you have pics of the Bermuda sands? I would love to see that...must be amazing!
