“When things are bad, we take comfort in the thought that they could always be worse. And when they are, we find hope in the thought that things are so bad they have to get better.”
Day 5...haha...this is like my own personal little Survivor series...I just have to outwit, outplay, and outlast the devil! And I know that I will....Jesus has already won the victory, right? Right! Of course! But as the Scriptures say....the Spirit is willling but the flesh is weak...okay...moving on...
I stumbled across this Scripture that encouraged me today...
Romans 4:18 (New Living Translation)
Even when there was no reason for hope, Abraham kept hoping—believing that he would become the father of many nations. For God had said to him, “That’s how many descendants you will have!”
The chapter goes on to talk about how Abraham kept the faith for 100 YEARS!!! Can you imagine? You KNOW you will be the father of many nations! You KNOW that God has promised you descendants like the grains of sand on the seashore! BUT for 100 years you don't see the hand of God moving to make the promise happen.
YET..Abraham kept believing, saw the promise, and is now called the father of faith! What a journey! What a legacy!
May I have faith like Abraham to have HOPE each day to see the promise!!
